Member of the House of Representatives representing Mushin Federal Constituency I, Honourable Taofeek Adeyemi Alli, has unveiled a football academy to train and nurture footballing talents in his constituency and beyond, reports thegazellenews.com
Named O’Yemi Football Academy, the unveiling ceremony took place on Wednesday, 3 September, 2025, at the Constituency Office of the lawmaker in Mushin.
“The academy’s objective is to provide a platform for young players to develop their skills and potentially become professional footballers,” Honourable Alli said during the unveiling ceremony.
Thegazellenews.com reports that the initial young players for the Academy were selected during the extra-curricular activities of the 6th Summer Coaching programme organised by the lawmaker.
“This, the Academy is expected to contribute to the development of grassroots football in Mushin Federal Constituency I and provide opportunities for young talents to shine,” Honourable Alli said.
Addressing the players, expressed his excitement and appreciation, stating, “I’m highly elated and happy to receive our children, our future leaders, and pioneer team”.
He also commended the officials, general coordinators, managers, and officiating officers for their contributions to the academy’s success.
The unveiling of O’YEMI Football Academy marks a significant step towards promoting football development in Mushin Federal Constituency I and providing opportunities for young players to achieve their dreams.
