The Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi has assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the support of the womenfolk in his re-election bid in 2027, reports thegazellenews.com
Pastor Ojelabi stated this while speaking on Thursday, 4 September, 2025 during the Lagos APC Women Summit which took place at Alausa in Ikeja.

The Lagos APC Chairman stated further that the performance of Tinubu has impressed Nigerians particularly women, hende they have made up their minds to cast their votes for the President.
“In 2022, Asiwaju came to us, particularly, our women to present himself and tell us his intention to run for the Presidency of this country.

“In 2025, all of us, women especially, are the one calling on Tinubu to continue in office.
“They are assuring him of their votes and support, we are all happy with his administration and we have absolute confidence in his ability to take Nigeria to greater heights,” Ojelabi said.
Also speaking, the National Women Leader of APC, Dr Mary Idele Allile, assured President Tinubu that the women folk are ready to support and vote for him.
“In all my visits to the various state chapters of our great party, the message is the same, Asiwaju Tinubu should continue in office beyond 2027. Women have shown their readiness to vote massively for President Tinubu again,” she said.
The Wife of the state Governor, Dr Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, echoed the statements of Pastor Ojelabi and Dr Allile.
“Nigerian women are unanimous in our resolve to vote for our dear father. He has made us happy. He has made Nigerians happy and he has improved the fortune of the country as a whole,” the Lagos First Lady said.
Speaking earlier, the Women Leader of the Lagos State, Honourable Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, commended the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu for taking the bull by the horn and ensuring that the Nigerian economy stands upright.
“President Tinubu is a courageous man, an ingenious leader and a leader who is ready to take the bull by the horn to ensure economic stability for all.
“Nigerian women are solidly behind him and we will not relent in our efforts to ensure that he administers the country beyond 2027,” she said.
The summit which brought together women from all parts of the state was organised to encourage more women participation in politics.
Themed: Arise, Aspire and Ascend, it was organised to also raise awareness among women the important roles they play in governance and the need for them to participate more in it.
