The Ekiti State Executive Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has rated the Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji high on security, infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, education and other indices of human development.

The Party delivered the verdict after a 3-day tour across the State, assessing the works done by the Governor in meeting the developmental yearnings of the people in less than 3 years in office.

Through its Publicity Secretary, Segun Dipe, the State Exco said since Oyebanji assumed office some 3 years ago, he had put his hands on the plough and had not looked back in ensuring that Ekiti State got a befitting facelift and held its own among the comity of States in Nigeria.

The State Exco had toured the State for 3 days, inspecting the infrastructural developments carried out by Gov. Oyebanji in his 3 years of mounting the saddle.

On the first, they visited projects in the Southern Senatorial district, on the second day, they visited the northern senatorial district and on the third day, they visited the central senatorial district of the state.

Projects inspected during the tour include agricultural farms, power substations, roads, both completed and still under construction, hospitals, schools, the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport, the Ring Road Phase 1 and so on.

In the words of an elated Party State Chairman, Hon (Barr) Olusola Elesin, “there is no doubt that the governor (Oyebanji) has done a yeoman’s job. He has performed creditably well, even beyond our expectation. Little wonder the good people of the state are heaping praises on him and yearning for his second term in office. We will surely ensure that the governor comes back to complete the works yet to be completed and do even more!”

Elesin further described as phenomenal the governor’s efforts at addressing road infrastructure, poverty, insecurity, revamping moribund state-owned enterprises, among others.

In their assessment, the Exco specifically commended Oyebanji’s massive investments in education, health and the focus on agro value chain, which they said had helped in attracting investors, generating employment and transforming the economy of the state in no distant time.

“We are further enthused by the Oyebanji administration’s programmes and projects, and the fact that they are spread across the 16 Local Government Areas and 22 LCDAs in Ekiti State in tune with the governor’s 6-pillar inclusive development model.

” We equally appraise the governor’s drive for making the state conducive for business as reflected in its Ease-of-doing-Business rating, culminating to attracting both local and foreign direct investments into the state. The State has also been ranked as the safest in Nigeria as well as scoring high in financial prudence,” the Party Exco said.

“Everywhere we go, it is construction, construction and construction,” members of the Exco enthused, extolling the ambitious and aggressive opening of the urban-rural routes across the three senatorial districts of the State, which they saw firsthand.
