The Akesan of Akesan Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Nojeemdeen Abidemi Aberejo Ogunjobi Oduala I, has donated half a plot of land to the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area for the construction of the council’s Area Office in Akesan town.

The donation was made to build the Area Office, not only to accommodate council staff but also to boost the revenue of the council.

The leaders of the communities, who spoke while signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to hand over the land to the Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, said the donation was made as a show of the community’s support to Comrade Akinsanya, who, the people believed, had started well by tackling the challenges of the community.

The Akesan monarch said the Akesan community had resolved to add that with the performance of the council chairman, Comrade Akinsanya, nothing could be too much for them to do for the council that had brought development to the community.
‘Like Oliver Twist, however, we will always request more development from the administration of Comrade Akinsanya.
“Today, we are here to hand over the land documents, which are owned by Akesan communities, for the establishment of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA Akesan Area office to you and the management of Igando-Ikotun LCDA. We’re here because we have seen a better approach in you than the past council chairmen,” said Alakesan

The Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, commended the Akesan monarch and members of the palace for the initiative.
He also ordered the immediate commencement of the Area Office project.
