The Lagos State Hausa Community (LASACOM) on Wednesday, 1 October, 2025, organised a special prayer for Nigeria to mark its 65th Independence Day celebration.

The group, led by former Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure, Architect Kabir Ahmed, drew over 120 Islamic clerics to its secretariat on Capitol Road, Agege where the complete Quran was recited twice to pray not only for the nation but also for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for God to continue to strengthen him.

The Ulamas were led by Sheikh Aliyu Kharazumi while the Seriki Hausawa of Idi Araba, Alhaji Hassan Anyo, was also in attendance.

Architect Ahmad stated that Nigerians have started feeling the positive impact of the economic policies of President Tinubu noting that the present administration has put in place policies that will continue to impact positively on the populace.

“We need to pray for this nation. Nigerians should continue to support the President. This is a President that has their interest at heart.

“The Naira is stable now, petroleum products have stayed at their appropriate prices and we don’t have scarcity and long queues at filling stations anymore. Students are enjoying loans to enable pay their school fees and their upkeep.
“This President will do more but we must also support the administration with our prayers, that’s why we organised this national prayer,” Arc Ahmad said.
