Today, as the world marks World Mental Health Day, with the theme, “Access to Services – Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies,” reminds us to reach out and genuinely connect, especially in times of crisis, and to advocate for the mental well-being of all that are affected.
Across the world, mental health remains under-prioritized in emergency responses. We must bridge this urgent gap and create an environment where everyone feels safe to talk about their anxiety, depression, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) without being judged or labelled.

On this day, let us turn our collective attention to the unseen burdens and commit to ensuring that mental health support is a guaranteed right, especially amongst vulnerable groups.
Check on someone today. Be the access.
Happy World Mental Health Day
Her Excellency
Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON
First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
