It has come to the attention of the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof, who just returned from a working visit to China, the publication by Lagos Reporters concerning the severance payment of the immediate past executive members.
We would like to place on record that Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, in the last administration, had the largest number of cabinet members in Lagos State. Aside from the statutory nine, comprising the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Chief of Staff, and the state-released nominees, the Chairman, in a bid to accommodate more party members and empower deserving youths, expanded the list to include additional members.

We will like to state categorically that the statutory 9 cabinet members from the state were divided into two batches, the first batch has been paid while the second batch has been marked for payment before the end of the year. We will like to state also that the additional cabinet members severance which was not captured in this year’s budget has been captured in the next year’s budget and will be paid accordingly.
We urge Lagos Reporters to look at the bright side of this administration rather than amplify isolated areas that are already being addressed.
