Cameroon President, Paul Biya, has signed a presidential decree authorising the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) to operate legally in the country.
According to the decree, the approval grants RCCG official recognition and mandates that the decision be registered, published, and inserted in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cameroon, in line with national regulations governing religious bodies.

The development is significant, as only a small number of churches have successfully obtained presidential authorisation through the Ministry of Territorial Administration, highlighting the rigorous and complex process required for religious organisations to function lawfully in the country.
The approval marks a major milestone for the Redeemed Christian Church of God and its members in Cameroon.
