The Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, has been honoured with two meritorious awards in recognition of his outstanding leadership, responsive governance, and impactful contributions to grassroots development.

The awards were presented at two separate and notable events held over the weekend, organized by Oke-Agbo Central Community Development Association and the Triple O All-Star Football Club.

The events were well attended by community leaders and political stakeholders, who commended the Council Chairman for his people-centred administration and commitment to inclusive development across Imota LCDA.

While presenting the awards, the organizers described Hon. Benson as a progressive and visionary leader whose administration has prioritized infrastructure development, human capital growth, youth empowerment, and effective service delivery. They noted that his leadership style reflects accountability, accessibility, and a strong connection with the grassroots.

According to them, Hon. Benson’s governance approach has fostered trust between the government and the people, creating an enabling environment for sustainable development and community participation.

Since assuming office, the Council Chairman has initiated and implemented several developmental projects, including the grading of internal roads, improved environmental sanitation, enhanced primary healthcare services, educational support programmes, and sustained engagement with community stakeholders. These efforts, they said, have positively impacted the lives of residents across the LCDA.

Speaking after receiving the awards, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, who was represented by Mr. Lawal Adeola Abolore, expressed deep appreciation to the organizers, describing the recognition as a collective honour for the entire council administration.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the BSA-BOJ to sustaining good governance and delivering people-oriented projects that address the real needs of the community.

“This recognition further strengthens the resolve of the Benson-led administration to do more. It is a reminder that public office is a call to service, and together with his team, the government will continue to work tirelessly to justify the trust reposed in him by the people,” he said.

Community leaders and residents at the events lauded the chairman for his humility and dedication, and visible achievements in office, noting that the awards were well-deserved. They urged him to remain steadfast in his development agenda and continue to prioritize the welfare of the people.

The two meritorious awards add to a growing list of recognitions received by Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, further reinforcing his reputation as a committed grassroots administrator and a leader focused on sustainable development and inclusive governance in Imota LCDA.
