The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has slightly adjusted its outbound train service from Abuja to Kaduna for Saturday, 21 February, 2026, reports thegazellenews.com

According to a statement signed by Calistus Unyinmadu, Chief Public Relations Officer of the agency, the adjustment became necessary because of the elections taking place in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Saturday, 21 February, 2026.

Thegazellenews.com had earlier reported that the local council elections in the FCT take place on Saturday, 21 February, 2026.

Thus, the NRC management has readjusted the take off of the outbound train from Abuja to Kaduna to 7.30am.

Thegazellenews.com reports further that the inbound service from Kaduna to Abuja remains unchanged and will depart at 2:30 p.m.
as scheduled.

“Passengers are kindly advised to arrive at the station early before the commencement of
restriction of movement.

“Normal train services will resume on Sunday, 22 February, 2026.

“The Corporation regrets any inconvenience this adjustment may cause,” the statement concluded.
