Stakeholders of Nigeria’s main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State have publicly declared support for Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi, representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District as their choice for 2027 gubernatorial ticket of the party.

The stakeholders took the decision during a consultative meeting held at the instance of the Speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abubakar Y Suleiman, in Dutse, Jigawa State on Tuesday, 3 March, 2026.
The meeting was said to have discussed the party’s achievements, challenges, and ways to overcome such while getting ready to partake in the 2027 general elections with resilience and hope of emerging victorious.

The PDP stakeholders declared that they endorsed Senator Abdul Ningi’s candidacy for Bauchi State Governor, because of his leadership qualities, political prowess and vast experience.
Addressing the stakeholders, Abubakar Y. Suleiman, emphasized that every successful journey faces challenges that at times impede it’s progress.
The Speaker however said that, through dialogue, unity, and determination, PDP would overcome them all.
He urged entire leaders and teaming supporters of the PDP to continue giving their necessary support to the party especially at the trying moment it is passing through.
The Speaker noted that such would help the party to regain its strength and reclaim positions across Nigeria.
The event was graced by Senator Abdul Ningi, Bauchi State Speaker, Hon. Ibrahim Tanko Burra and Dr. Yahuza Adamu as well as the Executive Chairperson of Ningi Local Government, Hon. Nasiru Zakarai, among others.
