Kebbi State Governor Comrade Nasir Idris has continued to deliver on his socio-economic development promises, thereby affording the people more opportunities to continue reaping democracy dividends.

According to Abdulllahi Idris Zuru, Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, recent flag-off of a new initiative on making life better for the people was performed by the Minister of Agriculture, Senator Abubakar Kyari.

In addition, provision of hundreds of thousands of variety of assorted food items for Ramadan fast palliatives targeted at over one million people was unveiled by the Governor.
Although the free distribution of the agricultural inputs and palliatives was a continuation of administration’s welfare package annual initiative, this year’s inputs have been increased by 40%.

Speaking at the palliatives distribution ceremony, Idris observed that transparent and direct distribution was the surest and guaranteed way of reaching the rural communities who remains his ultimate target.
These unprecedented economic empowerment programmes implemented over the years have positively transformed and significantly impact on the well-being of the people.
At the state congress of the All Progressive Congress (APC) held on Tuesday, 3 March, 2026, 30 members of the state Executive Committee were elected by the delegates through a transparent and constitutionally approved process, endorsed by the stakeholders.
The peaceful and successful emergence of the new Executive committee with Alhaji Abubakar Kana Zuru as the Chairman was attributed to the demonstrated exemplary qualities, sincerity of purpose and democratic governance exhibited by Governor Nasir Idris.
In brief remarks shortly after the elections, the Governor congratulated the new leadership and assured that he would remain committed to the peace, stability and protection of the rights of members at all levels.
