Kebbi state First Lady, Zainab Nasir Idris has received Hajia Asiya Muhammed Geza and over one hundred women into the All Progressives Congress (APC) fold in the state, reports thegazellenews.com
Receiving the defectors at Geza town in Dandi Local Government Area of Kebbi state, the First Lady pledged to treat them like old members of the ruling party in the state in terms of infrastructure and other social assistance they will require to facilitate the victory of the party in their domains.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Asiya Geza who before now was the women leader of Geza ward expressed joy for joining the ruling party saying she has been in the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for more than two decades.
“For years I have been giving the ruling party headache because I have never for once lost my ward but those votes will go to Governor Idris of APC in 2027 elections”.
Geza stated that her coming to APC was facilitated by Hadiza Muhammed Kola who has been her farming friend and she got fascinated by the projects executed by Governor Idris within just two years in office .
She pledged to deliver bloc votes for APC and governor Idris as rewards for his generosity to the people of Kebbi state who are currently enjoying his kindness.
While describing the Kebbi First Lady, Zainab Nasir Idris as mother of the orphans in Kebbi state she said that she will prove to her that she controls politics in Geza town and environs.
“I and my women will ensure APC wins with wide margin during the polls inshallah,” she assured.
She commended Hadiza Kola and the First Lady for their efforts in defining the lives of women in Kebbi state.
