A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State and immediate past Acting Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Hon. Kayode Oladele, has described the massive turnout at the recent Ramadan lecture organised by Senator Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as a clear testimony to the senator’s growing popularity and acceptance across the state.
Oladele made the remark while responding to reporters’ questions on the third annual Ramadan lecture hosted by the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District in Ilaro, Ogun State.

According to him, the overwhelming participation of people from different religious, political and social backgrounds demonstrated the widespread goodwill the senator enjoys among the people.
He noted that the event, which brought together religious leaders, political stakeholders, traditional rulers and residents from across Ogun State, further highlighted Adeola’s reputation as a bridge-builder who believes strongly in unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

Oladele said the large crowd that attended the lecture was both a reflection of his political influence and a sincere show of appreciation by the people for the senator’s continuous support for religious harmony and community development.
“The Ramadan lecture organised by Senator Adeola has become more than a religious gathering. It is gradually evolving into a platform for promoting unity, peaceful coexistence and shared values among our people,” he said.
He added that the senator’s consistent support for religious activities, including sponsorship of Muslim faithful to the Holy Pilgrimage in Mecca and assistance to faith-based organisations, had endeared him to many across the state.
Oladele further stated that the lecture also demonstrated Adeola’s unique ability to attract people from different walks of life, regardless of political affiliation or religious belief.
According to him, in a diverse society such as Ogun State where different religious groups coexist, leaders who promote tolerance and understanding deserve commendation.
“Ogun State is a multi-religious society and what we witnessed at the Ramadan lecture clearly shows that our people appreciate leaders who promote unity rather than division,” Oladele added.
He also commended the senator for sustaining the annual lecture, describing it as an important platform for reflection, prayer and community bonding.
Oladele expressed optimism that such gatherings would continue to strengthen the bonds of unity among the people while also encouraging leaders to place the collective interest of the state above narrow considerations.
He urged political leaders and public office holders to emulate Adeola’s example by promoting initiatives that foster peace, religious harmony and social development across the state.
