The lawmaker representing Apapa Federal Constituency, Adesola Samuel Adedayo, has reinforced his education drive with the distribution of standard desks and benches to schools, underscoring his commitment to improving learning conditions across the constituency.

The intervention, unveiled on Friday 17 April, 2026, during an official presentation ceremony, aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and targets infrastructure gaps in public schools.
More than 700 chairs and tables were handed over to the students of public primary and secondary schools in Apapa Federal Constituency.

The Education Secretary for Apapa Local Education Authority led principals, head teachers and students of the various schools to collect the materials.
According to the lawmaker, the initiative is designed to ensure comfort and create a more conducive environment for pupils.
Addressing stakeholders, Adedayo reaffirmed that education remains central to his legislative focus, citing the demands of an increasingly competitive and technology-driven world.
“Since my assumption of office education of our younger generation has been one of my topmost priorities,” he said.
Furthermore, he highlighted the enduring value of education, describing it as “the best legacy a society can bequeath to her younger generation.”
He stressed the need for proactive investment, noting that “the future we envisage will not evolve unless deliberate and decisive steps are taken now to plant the right seeds for the tomorrow we desire.”
In outlining his scorecard, the lawmaker listed key interventions, including facilitation of admissions for students into Queens College Yaba and Federal Government Girls College Sagamu.

He also cited the provision of laptops to tertiary students and the construction of a six-classroom block in Sari Iganmu.
He disclosed further that 250 JAMB forms were procured for candidates, complemented by free tutorial classes for the 2026/2027 examination cycle.
At the national level, he noted that he raised a motion of urgent public importance on the plight of Bilateral Education Agreement scholars, prompting intervention from both the legislative and executive arms of government.
Adedayo also revealed that over 300 students from the constituency have secured admission into tertiary institutions through his facilitation efforts, while others continue to benefit from financial support across institutions nationwide.
Significantly, he noted that the current distribution of furniture marks the second phase of such intervention.
“I would like to place it on record that what we are doing today is the second time for this particular intervention,” he said.
The lawmaker assured his constituents of sustained efforts, particularly in infrastructure and education, as he continues to advocate for increased federal interventions.
“We are not yet done with these rich bouquet of innovative interventions,” he said, adding that the constituency would witness “sustainable infrastructure renewal” under his watch.
Adedayo called for continued public support, expressing confidence in his capacity to deliver.
“All I ask for is your continuous support and abiding faith in my God-given ability to work for the greater good of Apapa people at all times,” he said.
Earlier, the Chairman of Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area, Honourable Jimoh Olawale Saliu commended the lawmaker for the good gesture noting that it will go a long way in easing the educational burden of parents in the Federal Constituency.
“The MHR has done well and we are happy that we have a Lawmaker that responds to our needs all the time,” he said.
He expressed the hope that similar interventions will come in the other sectors assuring that his administration is ready to partner with individuals and organisations that will assist in moving the council higher.
The event was witnessed by member of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) and one of Adedayo’s predecessors, Honourable Jimoh Adewale
