The Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in Agege has declared its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Lagos Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, and other All Progressives Congress aspirants in the area, reaffirming its political strength ahead of future electoral contests.

The endorsement was made during the council’s regular meeting held recently in Agege where members said the gathering carried a special significance beyond routine consultations.
Proceedings reportedly began with the national anthem, while attendees repeatedly chanted slogans declaring that “Agege is for Asiwaju” and “Agege is APC.”

Addressing participants, a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Honourable Oluyinka Ogundimu said the event was convened to formally announce to the wider public that Agege Local Government and Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area remain firmly under the umbrella of the Presidential Campaign Council and the Justice Forum political structure.
“The purpose for which we gather today is to have our normal, regular meetings. But this particular one is with a special diet,” the speaker said. “What makes it so special is that we are here to officially inform the whole world that Agege Local Government and Orile Agege LCDA is presently controlled by the Presidential Campaign Council and Justice Forum Group.”
Furthermore, Ogundimu described the group as a dominant force within the All Progressives Congress in Agege, expressing pride in what it termed its independent grassroots structure and organisational strength.
According to him, the meeting was not intended as a rally but as a strategic session focused on mobilisation, voter education, and internal coordination ahead of the next political phase.
“We are having a meeting, it is not a rally,” he said.
“We have to teach ourselves how to vote, how to mobilize people, how to ask questions, what we are supposed to do.”
In addition, Ogundimu stated further that the meeting was called for members to affirm their support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the governorship aspiration of Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat and other APC candidates in the coming elections.
He urged members not to remain passive but to prepare actively for future elections through sustained engagement and political participation.
“We are not going to sit back and do nothing. We are going to have a meeting to mobilize ourselves, to meet ourselves, to vote, to do our part,” Ogundimu added.
The gathering projected confidence in the future of both the party and the country, with participants insisting they remained committed to national progress and political continuity.
“The position we are in is a position of confidence. We really believe in this country,” he said.
Ultimately, the declaration underscores the continued influence of pro-Tinubu political structures in Agege, as supporters rally behind the President, Hamzat, and other APC aspirants ahead of the next electoral cycle.
