The Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, on Thursday, 7 May, 2026, joined other critical stakeholders across Lagos State to witness the submission of the governorship nomination forms of Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, the consensus gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections in Lagos State.
Hon. Akinpelu congratulated the Deputy Governor on his emergence as the party’s consensus candidate, describing the development as a reflection of the confidence reposed in Dr. Hamzat’s leadership capacity, competence, and commitment to the growth and development of Lagos State.
According to him, “It is indeed a thing of joy to be part of this movement advocating for our Deputy Governor to emerge as the next Governor of Lagos State, and today, that aspiration has become a reality. All glory belongs to God.
“I sincerely congratulate all members and leaders of the Lagos State All Progressives Congress for producing a man of Dr. Hamzat’s calibre as our consensus candidate. In Alimosho, we are fully prepared and ready to mobilise massive support and votes for our great party at all levels in the 2027 general elections”.
He further noted that Dr. Hamzat’s emergence signifies continuity of progressive governance, visionary leadership, and people-oriented policies that will further strengthen Lagos State’s position as a model of excellence in governance and socio-economic development in Nigeria.
The Chairman reaffirmed the commitment of the people of Alimosho Federal Constituency to the ideals of the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda, assuring party leaders and supporters that the constituency would once again deliver overwhelming electoral victories for the party in the forthcoming elections.
