President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recorded an overwhelming victory in the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress presidential primary election, securing 814,988 votes out of the 816,174 total votes cast, with Alimosho and Ikorodu Local Governments emerging as the highest contributors to his landslide win.

The state collation result, released by the All Progressives Congress, showed that the presidential primary covered all 20 Local Government Areas in Lagos State, where delegates and party members delivered near-total support for Tinubu against fellow aspirant Stanley Osifo, who polled 1,186 votes.
An analysis of the figures revealed that Alimosho Local Government delivered the single highest vote tally for Tinubu with 97,720 votes, further cementing the council’s reputation as one of the party’s largest political strongholds not only in Lagos but also in Nigeria. Ikorodu followed with 78,049 votes for Tinubu, while Stanley Osifo secured 1,127 votes in the area, his highest performance across the state.
Kosofe ranked among the leading contributors with 49,709 votes for Tinubu, closely followed by Somolu with 46,024 votes and Ojo with 43,488 votes. Ifako-Ijaiye also posted a strong turnout, delivering 43,458 votes to the former Lagos Governor.
By contrast, Apapa recorded the lowest vote totals for Tinubu with 21,095 votes, while Agege delivered 26,680 votes, placing both councils at the lower end of the ranking despite their historical importance in Lagos politics.
Other results showed that Ajeromi-Ifelodun returned 33,958 votes for Tinubu and 56 votes for Osifo, while Mushin produced 40,184 votes exclusively for Tinubu. Eti-Osa contributed 36,891 votes, Epe delivered 36,100 votes and Ibeju-Lekki posted 39,795 votes.
Similarly, Ikeja returned 32,096 votes, Lagos Mainland produced 31,398 votes, Lagos Island delivered 29,016 votes and Badagry recorded 31,461 votes.
Amuwo-Odofin contributed 30,706 votes, while Oshodi-Isolo and Surulere delivered 34,495 and 32,665 votes respectively.
The result further underscored Tinubu’s dominance within the Lagos APC structure, as he secured 99.85 per cent of the total votes cast, leaving Osifo with only 0.15 per cent.
The wide margin reflected Tinubu’s longstanding influence in Lagos politics and the deep-rooted support structure he has maintained across the state since leaving office as governor in 2007.
The collated figures also highlighted the voting strength of densely populated councils such as Alimosho, Ikorodu and Kosofe, which continue to play decisive roles during party primaries and general elections in Lagos State.
At the conclusion of the exercise, the APC Lagos chapter formally declared Tinubu winner of the presidential primary after results from all 20 local governments were collated.
