Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti has declared that he would not leave his wife if she cheats on him, saying infidelity means nothing in a relationship and that African men who react strongly to cheating are simply being hypocritical.
Kuti made the statement while discussing marriage and how couples respond to infidelity.
“If my wife cheats on me, I won’t leave her because it doesn’t mean anything,” he said, adding that African men were pretending cheating is not a normal part of relationships.
“African men are forming as if cheating isn’t a normal thing in a relationship,” he said.
Turning to inheritance, Kuti said his sister’s child is the only person he considers his real blood and therefore the only one with access to his properties.
“The only person that can have access to my properties is my sister’s child because that’s the real blood,” he said.
