The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Agege Constituency I in the 2027 General Elections, Hon. Oluwagbenga Michael Abiola, popularly known as Agbelebu, has appointed Hon. Sola Osolana as Director-General of his campaign organisation, the Oluwagbenga Michael Abiola Campaign Organisation (OMACO), reports thegazellenews.com
The appointment forms part of efforts to strengthen the campaign structure ahead of the election, with Osolana expected to oversee its operational and strategic coordination.
Osolana, a business mogul turned politician, is a household name in Agege politics, known for top-notch political mobilisation and humanitarian services within the local council area.
He will coordinate the various arms of the campaign and work with ward structures, community stakeholders, volunteers and campaign teams to take Agbelebu’s message to the grassroots.
OMACO also appointed Hon. Adegbenro Shodijo as Head of its Advisory Committee, a role in which he is expected to provide strategic guidance and political counsel to the campaign leadership, drawing on his experience in grassroots mobilisation to shape the campaign’s overall strategy.
In a further appointment, Hon. Razak Oyedeji was named Campaign Secretary. Oyedeji will handle the campaign’s administrative coordination, facilitate communication among its various structures and ensure proper documentation of campaign activities.
OMACO described the three appointments as the first phase of a broader campaign leadership structure aimed at taking the Agbelebu campaign to residents across Agege Constituency 01, with other members of the leadership team to be unveiled in due course as preparations for the election continue.
Attention is now expected to shift towards grassroots mobilisation and community engagement as the campaign structure takes shape.
The organisation said its focus remained on building a grassroots movement anchored on unity, effective representation, development and service to the people of Agege Constituency 01.
