Nigerian dancer, Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has been released after spending weeks in detention in the United Kingdom over an alleged sexual assault case.

News of his release emerged a day earlier, weeks after reports first surfaced that he had been arrested in the UK in connection with the charge.

His management had previously acknowledged that the case was being heard in a UK court and urged the public to await the conclusion of the legal process.

Reacting to the development, an Instagram user with the handle lifedramar wrote: “Freedom at last! No one is guilty until proven.

“Congratulations to Poco Lee and the entire team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make his release possible. And I also want to say this: celebrities and public figures can easily become targets, so please stay safe out there, guys. Be careful who you trust, where you go, and the people you surround yourself with. Fame comes with its own risks, so always stay alert and protect yourself. Welcome back to freedom!”

TikToker, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, also confirmed that the dancer had regained his freedom following his incarceration in a UK prison.

The 21-year-old influencer disclosed this during a recent livestream, after netizens asked whether Poco Lee had been freed.

Responding to a fan’s question, Peller said the woman who sued Poco Lee had withdrawn the case, leading to his release.

“Yes o, guys, Poco Lee is out. They talk say that girl that sue Poco Lee say the girl e run away from the case, say e leave the case. God go bless the girl, na God go bless am, is a good person,” he said.

Peller attributed Poco Lee’s freedom directly to the accuser’s decision to drop the case.

“The girl that make Poco Lee go to prison, the girl comot the case, UK lawyer con leave Poco Lee,” he said.

Peller’s claim has, however, not been independently confirmed or corroborated by the UK courts or prosecuting authorities as of the time of this report.
