The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the death of one man named Azeez Tajudeen during a political campaign in Ibadan, the state capital on Wednesday, 14 October, 2026, reports thegazellenews.com.
The Oyo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade confirmed the death of Tajudeen through a statement released on Thursday.
It was gathered that some hoodlums attacked the campaign team of the Accord governorship candidate, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, in the Molete area of Ibadan on Wednesday, 14 October, 2026.
“During the attack, one Azeez Tajudeen, aged 40, a native of Oke Amu in Otesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State, sustained a severe injury to his right eye.
“He was immediately rushed for medical attention and subsequently taken to State Hospital, Ring Road, Ibadan, where he was examined and confirmed dead. His remains have since been deposited at the hospital morgue, ”Ayanlade said in the statement.
