Following the omission of his name from the list released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP in Enugu State, Ray Kene Ogbodo, has vowed to explore all legal mean to correct the omission.

Ogbodo’s name was conspicuously missing from the list of candidates released by INEC.

Prominent names on the list included Governor Peter Mbah of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Uche Nnaji of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Ocho Obodoeze of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

Ogbodo told  newsmen that he would follow all legal means to right the wrong.

Speaking through his media aide, Hon. Don Victor, Ogbodo described the development as a temporary setback that would not diminish his determination to pursue his vision.

“Let me assure our numerous supporters and the good people of Enugu State that we remain focused, determined, and firmly committed to the 2027 governorship race.

“Although my name was not included in the recently published INEC list, we are taking the necessary steps with our party and the electoral commission to resolve the issue in accordance with the law. We remain hopeful of a positive resolution,” he stated, just as he also added that he recognised that the journey towards meaningful transformation might come with challenges, but no temporary setback would diminish his commitment.

“Our determination remains unshaken, and our commitment to a better future for Ndi Enugu remains stronger than ever. We are still on course for Enugu 2027,” Ogbodo further stated.

The PRP candidate also urged party members to remain calm, peaceful, united, and hopeful while the outstanding electoral matter was being pursued through the appropriate channels.
