All roads lead to the University of Lagos on December 10, 2026, as the highly anticipated Bodex Social Media Hangout (BSMH) 7.0 unveils celebrated television personality and legendary quizmaster Frank Edoho, alongside award-winning Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji, as hosts of its student-focused event.

The seventh edition of the annual gathering, convened by renowned PR and digital media strategist, Bodex Hungbo, promises an unforgettable convergence of education, creativity, innovation, entertainment and youth empowerment. Held under the theme “Influence with Purpose: Shaping Africa’s Digital Future,” this year’s edition places purposeful digital engagement and the next generation of African innovators at its centre.

Scheduled to take place at the Distance Learning Institute Hall, University of Lagos, the event is expected to welcome over 3,000 students from secondary schools and tertiary institutions for an immersive experience designed to equip the next generation with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills required to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving digital world.

With Frank Edoho’s exceptional command of intellectual engagement and Lateef Adedimeji’s captivating storytelling abilities and charismatic presence, participants can expect an exciting blend of knowledge, inspiration and entertainment.

The programme will feature intellectually stimulating student debates, competitive quiz sessions and practical digital media masterclasses, facilitated by industry professionals and thought leaders.

Beyond the learning experience, participants will receive certificates of participation, while exciting raffle draws, interactive games and giveaways will offer more opportunities to win.

The student competitions will also feature cash prizes totalling ₦2.2 million: ₦1 million for first place, ₦700,000 for second place and ₦500,000 for third place. Beyond the competitions and prizes, organisers are also lining up a host of surprise wow-factor experiences, lively audience interactions and entertaining activities to keep students engaged, excited and fully involved throughout the day.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Convener, Bodex Hungbo, emphasised the importance of creating opportunities that combine education with meaningful experiences.

“Young people are not just the future of the digital economy; they are already shaping it. At Bodex Social Media Hangout, we are intentional about giving students from secondary schools and tertiary institutions platforms to learn, compete, express themselves, build confidence and discover opportunities beyond the classroom.

“Bringing Frank Edoho and Lateef Adedimeji together is deliberate. We want our students to experience the power of knowledge, creativity, confidence and authentic storytelling while having an unforgettable time,” she said.

Over the years, Bodex Social Media Hangout has continued to establish itself as a platform connecting students, digital creators, media professionals, industry leaders and policymakers through conversations and experiences that promote responsible digital engagement, innovation and personal development.

The seventh edition seeks to build on that legacy by creating greater opportunities for learning, networking, talent discovery and youth participation in the digital economy.

December 10 promises more than another student event. It is a celebration of knowledge, creativity, talent and the limitless possibilities of Africa’s next generation.
