Kano State is rapidly turning the new epicentre of the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria, The Gazelle News.com can report.
On Thursday, 30 April, 2020, out of the 204 cases reported, 80 were from Kano. Lagos has 45 cases whole Gombe has 12. Bauchi and Sokoto has nine each, seven each for Borno and Edo, Rivers and Ogun have six cases each, FCT, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa have four cases each, three were reported in Kaduna, two each in Oyo, Delta and Nasarawa, while one case was each reported in Ondo and Kebbi States.
The Gazelle News.com reports further that the total number of confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria has risen to 1932.
With its total of 219 cases, Kano has now taken over from FCT as second most infected state in Nigeria, FCT now has 178 cases while Lagos is nearing the 1000 mark with its total of 976 confirmed cases.
