Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, has stated that Ramoni Igbalode, popularly called Hushpupi, who was recently arrested by the FBI is a welcomed development and the law should take its full course.
Dabiri-Erewa stated this in her Twitter handle on Friday expressing her unhappiness of the actions of Hushpupi and his cohorts are making the actions of decent Nigerians abroad difficult.
She said: “Whereas many Nigerians overseas are working 3.4 jobs to make ends meet fraudsters like Ramoni Igbalode are spoiling their picture. The regulation should take its full course.”
She had also stated earlier that the action of Hushpupi should not be used as a measurement to generalize other Nigerians doing well for themselves abroad.
She wrote: “I stress once more, not a yardstick to gauge Nigerians excelling overseas. One dangerous apple ought to certainly not spoil the entire bunch.”
