The Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of 55 recovered coronavirus patients from the various isolation centres in the state, reports The Gazelle News.com.
The state Governor and Incident Commander, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, disclosed this on Saturday, 27 June, 2020 on his official twitter handle while giving update on the Covid-19 pandemic in the state.
According to Governor Sanwo-Olu, those discharged after testing negative twice to the virus infection are 39 males and 16 females.
The Gazelle News.com reports further that 16 of the recovered patients are foreign nationals though the Governor did not give details of their nationalities.
The total number of discharged coronavirus patients in Lagos thus rose to 1419.

Good people of Lagos,
55 more #COVID19Lagos patients; 16 females and 39 males including 16 foreign nationals were discharged from our Isolation facilities today to reunite with the society.
The patients; 14 from Onikan, 5 from Gbagada, 5 from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospita, Yaba, 8 from Agidingbi, 6 from Lekki, 4 from Eti-Osa(LandMark), 4 from First Cardiology and 9 from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged after full recovery and testing negative to COVID-19.
This brings to 1419, the number of #COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos.
