She was the mother-in-law to Sola Fasure, media aide of ex-Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola. Mrs Ogunlaja was born in Lagos in 1945 to Chief Johnson and Mrs Modupe Jeariogbe of Abeokuta, Ogun State. She was a member of Saint Jude’s Anglican Church, Ebute Meta, Lagos.
