Operatives of the Uyo Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested six suspected internet fraudsters along Calabar-Itu road in Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. The suspects are; Udenze Benjamin, Godwin Atike, Emmanuel Francis, Adebe Oluwademilade, Anietie Brownson and Sabastin Obioma. They were arrested in an early morning sting operation on Thursday, October 5, 2023 following intelligence linking them with suspected internet-related activities. Some items recovered from them include phones and laptops. They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

A Lagos High Court today, Monday, 9 October, 2023, delivered judgment in the case of a police officer, Drambi Vandi, charged with shooting dead a Lagos-based lawyer, Omobolanle Raheem, on Christmas Day, December 25, 2022 in the Ajah area of Lagos. Justice Ibironke Harrison, the trial judge, in her ruling, convicted Vandi of a one-count charge of murder and thus sentenced him to death by hanging. Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), today, Sunday, 8 October, 2023, apprehended a driver over damaged truck barrier on Dorman-Long Bridge, Surulere area inwards Ikorodu road (Fadeyi).
