Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu, wife of a former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has been released from the United Kingdom’s prison. According to reports, Beatrice, who was sentenced to five years in UK prison, returned to the country on Tuesday, 21 January, 2025. She is said to be currently in Abuja. It was gathered that there is jubilation currently going on in her family house in the Mpu community of Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Acting Head of the Audit Department at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, Adeniyi Oluwaseun, on Sunday, 19 January, 2025, committed suicide, by jumping into a well.
