Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the political adviser to President Bola Tinubu has resigned from his appointment. A former spokesperson for the Northern Elders Forum, Baba-Ahmed was said to have submitted his resignation about two weeks ago. It was gathered that Baba-Ahmed cited personal grounds as his main reason for resigning his position. Sources within the presidency said it was not yet clear whether the president has accepted his resignation. An Ekiti State High Court sitting in Ado Ekiti has sentenced a 41-year-old man, Olasunkanmi Kareem, to life imprisonment for attempting to murder his former boss by setting him ablaze.
