The Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, on Tuesday, 4 March, 2025 tendered a sexual harassment petition against President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio. The petition was submitted on the floor of the upper legislative chamber after the Senate resumed plenary. The Senate had earlier said it was not investigating the allegations because there was no formal petition against Akpabio on the floor of the red chamber.
