One of the achievements is the construction of canal in Okpe farms and settlements to control perennial flooding. Today, farmers are having bountiful harvest and they are thanking the NDDC for helping them to control flooding and making it possible for them reap from their labour. A University of Ilorin as a 200 level Mass Communication student, whose identity has been withheld, reportedly committed suicide at his residence in the Oke-odo area of Tanke, llorin, Kwara State capital.
