A Jos Magistrates’ Court presided over by Magistrate Shawomi Bokkos, on Friday, 7 November, 2024 sentenced a 19-year-old trader to nine months imprisonment for robbing an elderly woman in her house. Magistrate Bokkos, summarily tried and sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to the charge. Bokkos, in his judgment, ordered the convict to pay an option of N20,000 fine or spend six months imprisonment, just as he also ordered the convict to pay the woman N30,00 in damages or spend another three months in prison in default.
