The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has announced plans to introduce e-mobility for commercial purposes in all six states of the Northeast region. This is part of the initiatives of the Commission to reduce hardships on the people of the region which comprises Taraba, Yobe, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa and Borno States caused by removal of subsidy on petroleum products. The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Peter Lifu on Friday, 11 0ctober, 2024 restrained the National Executive Committee (NEC) and Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from removing Ambassador Ilya Damagum as the Acting National Chairman of the party. The Federal Government has announced that petroleum marketers can now purchase Premium Motor Spirit(Petrol) directly from Dangote Refinery.
