Police in Colombia confirmed that a cocaine laboratory explosion killed at least nine while eight others weere wounded on Friday, 23 January on the country’s pacific coast, reports thegazellenews.com. As parts of measures to mitigate the impact of climate change on Nigeria’s agricultural sector, the Federal Government has taken another major step with the inauguration of a climate-smart agriculture project. The Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) has confirmed that Friday’s national grid collapse was caused by a system-wide disturbance triggered by the tripping of multiple 330 kV transmission lines and the disconnection of some power-generating units. NISO added that efforts to restore electricity supply began shortly after the outage, in line with established grid restoration and recovery procedures.
