Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has disclosed that 95 per cent of the youths who participated in Thursday’s 1 August, 2024 violent protests in Maiduguri, the state capital were children less than 14 years. The Catholic Archbishop of Lagos Diocese, Most Reverend Adewale Martins, on Saturday, 3 August appealed to Nigerian youths to put an end to the nationwide protests to save the economy. No fewer than 33 civilians including one soldier were killed and 63 injured in an explosion on a popular beach in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.
