An Air Force helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) crashed in the early hours of Monday, 1 July, 2024, in Tami village located in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state. An eyewitness who did not want to be mentioned said the incident occurred at approximately 5:00 am, causing significant alarm among local residents. A female suicide bomber on Saturday, 29 June, 2024, detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at a wedding venue in Gwoza town, Borno State. Unconfirmed number of guests have been reportedly killed, while many others suffered varying degrees of injuries in the incident. A survivor told Channels TV that the bomber was carrying a baby on her back when she stormed the venue and detonated the IED.
