The Anwar-Ul-Islam College Agege Old Students Association, Class of ’87 A’Level, has fixed Saturday, 22 February, 2025, for the second reunion meeting of the body.
At a recent meeting of the Executive Committee of the body led by former Lagos House of Assembly member, Hon. Dr Oluyinka Ogundimu, the body picked the date and plans have commenced to make the event a memorable one.
Ogundimu charged the reunion sub-committee to put up a show that would be better than the first reunion meeting held in Ikeja in 2021.
“We have trust in this committee to deliver a good show and we expect our members to also turn out in large numbers like they did in the first Reunion Event. The next few weeks will be busy for the committee and the EXCO will also work with them to guarantee an entertaining show,” Ogundimu said.
Only last week, Head of the Reunion Committee, Rasheed Kolade and two other members: Kola Oreniyi and Barrister Jide Bakare; were at the R and A City Hotel, Ikeja to secure the venue for the event.
Interestingly, the R and A Hotel was also the venue of the first Reunion Meeting of the ACAOSA body.
Kolade stated that plans were already in top gear for all members to enjoy the event which will be the first under the Hon Yinka Ogundimu-led EXCO.
“We have a solid team on the ground to prosecute the event. We will only double our efforts as the date draws near,” he said.
The Reunion Committee leader also revealed that a meeting of the body comes up this weekend in Ikeja, Lagos.
“We have to set the template and assign roles for various sub committees. After that we continue with virtual meetings but we should have another physical meeting before the event,” Kolade added.
