The Anambra State Government has confirmed that the alleged killers of the state lawmaker, representing Onitsha North State Constituency 1, Hon. Justice Azuka, have been apprehended by security operatives, reports thegazellenews.com
The government expressed deep sorrow over the tragic passage of the lawmaker, just as it also extended its condolences to the Speaker and members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, his family, and his constituents
The state Commissioner for information, Law Mefor who made this disclosure in a statement issued and made available to newsmen, added that security agencies have successfully apprehended the criminals responsible for this heinous act.
“Government commends the swift and decisive action of the security agencies, who worked tirelessly to fish out the criminals responsible for this heinous act.
“Their efforts are a testament to government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens and the efficacy of the state’s new security strikeforce, Operation Udo Ga-Achi, which has been recording strings of successes since its inauguration on January 18, 2025.
“Government firmly assures of its commitment to ensuring that justice is served speedily against the culprits and all those connected with the dastardly act,” the Commissioner said.
