A gas explosion has occurred at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State on Thursday, 20 May, 2021.
Although casualties from the incident could not be confirmed, the explosion occurred around 11am at the Marcque event centre within the Presidential Library and sent panic among workers and passersby.
It was gathered that normal cleaning was being done at the facility when one of the gas cylinders in the event centre exploded.
Earlier in the week in the same Abeokuta,. the Conference Hotel in Abeokuta owned by former Governor, Gbenga Daniel, was hit by explosion, killing two and injuring three others.
