Political publicists, social commentator and son of late P.A Abraham Fatodu, a politician and strong member of the defunct Unity Party of Nigeria, UPN, Gbenga Fatodu, has declared his intention to run for the Lagos State House Of Assembly seat in 2015.
Oluaye as he is fondly called, is vying for the Mushin State Constituency 01 seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Fatodu who is known for his campaign slogan, “Voices 2015, Time for change”, started his political career during the MKO Hope 1993 campaign where he developed passion for politics.
Having served as publicist and press secretary in different tiers of government, he has now decided to put his wealth of experience together and into use in representing the constituency that produced him, Mushin State Constituency 1.
“With the will to serve and deliver to his people development and as a core grass roots individual and a voice of the constituents, Fatodu no doubt has all it takes to run and make change possible”, said a source in the constituency.
Having done series of meetings, deliberations, counsels and consultations with major party chieftains and political leaders, he has decided to formerly launch his campaign in no distance time.
According to him, “for people who truly know me very well, trust me they will tell you, yes, the decision is long over due and not just a fluke. Nigeria as a Nation and Lagos as its commercial hub with such a huge population need an experienced grass roots, able, political, governance savvy, city oriented, highly sound, vibrant, thoroughbred politician like me.
“I have got more to give to my people. The awareness is here “Voice 2015″, canvassing for support,” he pledged.
