The former Vice President of Nigeria and one of the presidential aspirants in the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has declared that he has better experience and what it takes to rule the country than other aspirants gunning for the seat.
He said this at the party secretariat in Osogbo, capital of Osun state, southwest Nigeria, during his courtesy visit to the state government on Thursday, 14th November, 2014.
“I have experience than all of them. I have served as Vice president for eight years. None of the aspirants can withstand my experience,” Atiku boasted.
The former Vice president who promised to maintain decorum during the primary, assured the people of his readiness to work for the success of the party in 2015.
Receiving the presidential aspirant on behalf of Governor Rauf Aregbesola, the state Deputy Governor, Mrs Titi Laoye-Tomori, described him as one of the highly respected politicians in the country.
Mrs Tomori, who condemned the spate of insecurity in the country, charged the presidential aspirant to make sure that ends come to the reign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the country.
She also assured Atiku Abubakar of the state support if he emerged the party’s candidate.
She said, “we will rise up and support whoever is put forward by our party. As we did in 2011, when we deliver the state to our party, so we are going to do come 2015”.
