The former Governor of Bayelsa state Dieprieye Alamieyeseigha, Thursday, 14th August, 2014, disclosed that President Goodluck Jonathan will contest in 2015 adding that the President will even win the election convincingly.
The former Bayelsa Governor added that he is speaking authoritatively that Jonathan run for next year election scheduled to hold in February 14, 2015.
According to him, “I am telling you authoritatively that President Goodluck Jonathan will contest for presidential election next year and he will win the election convincingly”.
On his rumored intention of contesting for a senatorial seat in 2015, Alamieyeseigha denied any ambition of contesting for senatorial seat in 2015 saying he has never discussed it with anyone that he will contest for a senatorial seat in 2015.
He said, “I have not told anyone that I am contesting for Senate in 2015 even in my bedroom.”
On the All Progressives Congress (APC), he said that APC is not a threat to President Jonathan in 2015 saying that the party “does not even exist”.
The ex-Governor spoke to journalists after the closure of the National Conference in which represented Bayelsa State.
He stated that what has taken the National Assembly to achieve for years has been achieved within five months by delegates at the National Conference.
He applauded delegates at the Conference for the maturity displayed during the Conference saying that the caliber of people present at the Conference is an indication that this country is blessed with people who can move the country forward.
