The forthcoming 2015 elections will witness the participation of some entertainers as many of them are delving into politics.
Afro-pop singer, Gift Uwame, popularly known as Muma Gee, and busty Nollywood actress, Funke Adesiyan, have decided to contest under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while Nollywood star, Desmond Olusola Elliot, ‘gongo aso’ crooner Abolore ‘9ice’ Akande, Kennis Music boss, Dayo ‘D1’ Adeneye, and Kenny Saint Brown are holding on to the brooms of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Muma Gee, mostly known for her richly African elements infused album titled Kade, is aiming for a seat in the House of Representatives via the Abua/Odua and Ahoada East Local Government Area constituency in Rivers State.
Pretty Nollywood actress, Funke Adesiyan is gunning for a seat in the Ibadan South-East constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
Along with 9ice, who is contesting for the House of Representatives, Funke is the other entertainer seeking elective office in Oyo State.
9ice has also launched his branded drinks and buses for his campaign.
