Leaving no stone unturned, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ojo Federal Constituency Campaign Council engaged different sets of stakeholders at Ward B of the Federal Constituency, Okokomaiko; and Oto Awori Local Council Development Area Secretariat Hall on Monday, 16 January, 2023.

The first interactive meeting which took place at Ward B in Okokomaiko Town Hall comprises of stakeholders and party members in Alaba Rago, Cassidy and Okokomaiko areas of Ward B.

The event had in attendance party leaders and faithfuls who came out in large numbers to welcome members of the Campaign Council.

Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (Abila), Chairman of Iba Local Council Development Area and a member of the Campaign Council welcomed stakeholders to the meeting, stating that the APC Ojo Federal Constituency Campaign Council considers it obligatory to meet, and remind them of the need to continue towing the progressive line they are known for.

He expressed his confidence, especially as a leader in the Ward, that the people of Ward B have always voted for APC, and they will not cease to so do at this critical time in the nation’s history.

Thereafter, he apologized on behalf of Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule, the party’s Lagos West Senatorial Candidate and Hon. Lanre Ogunyemi, APC Reps Candidate for Ojo Federal Constituency, who were unavoidably absent due to party assignments.

The Director General of the Council, Hon. Rosulu Idowu, expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the Ward for the positive turnout and show of love for APC.

He was quick to state the mandate of the Campaign Council and why a more elaborate rally was not held.

“We know rallying on our streets has electoral values, but we did not to settle for this because we want more. We changed the conventional approach for a thorough and direct engagements with our people”, Hon. Idowu said

He advised and stressed the need to vote for all APC candidates in the coming elections. He made special references to achievements of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Presidential Candidate of APC, when he was Lagos State Governor and his resolve to transform Nigeria when elected.

While charging stakeholders at the meeting to move the campaign from door to door, he urged those who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) to seize the opportunity of the extension of the deadline for its collection.

Comrade Olusegun Adebisi Ege, party’s Lagos Assembly Candidate for Ojo State Constituency I, persuaded the people of Okokomaiko, Cassidy and Alaba Rago never to hold back in preaching the gospel of the party.

He stated that he has a strong assurance that with the caliber of those present at the meeting, Okokomaiko was already a done deal for the party. He challenged them to get their PVCs ready to do the needful, while promising not to disappoint when voted in.

Hon. He praised the Iba LCDA Chairman for impacting positively on the residents of the Ward since his assumption of office.

Alhaji Ibrahim Malami who spoke fluently in Hausa, said it is time to show their appreciation to the party with massive votes and also appealed to those who are yet to get their PVCs to quickly do so.

Hon. Saheed Adio (Harmony), a ember of the Lagos State House of Assembly Commission (LAHASCOM) said Okokomaiko is yearning for more developments and the only way to get it done is by voting massively for the party at the polls. He said all candidates of the party are tested and trusted.

Barr. Tunde Lawal, Secretary of the Campaign Council, expressed appreciation to participants at the event urging them to show more by voting enmasse for the party’s candidates in the coming elections.

The highest point of the programme was the announcement by Hon. Yisa Abiola Jibril, Chairman of Iba LCDA, to lay the foundation of a primary health centre in Okokomaiko in the coming days.

At the second event, which was a consultative meeting with Lagos State Council of Tradesmen and Artisans (LASCOTA), Oto Awori LCDA chapter, Prince Musbau Adekunle Ashafa, Chairman of Oto Awori LCDA welcome participants to the event stating that LASCOTA are known partners in progress, therefore they should support all the candidates of the party.

He stressed that provision of social amenities and empowerment programmes that will support them can only come if they vote all candidates of APC.

The Director General of the Council, Hon. Rosulu Idowu said he has been assured by Prince Ashafa that the Oto Awori Local Chapter of LASCOTA is for APC and he wants them to prove it.

While he was speaking, all members of LASCOTA present at the meeting brought out their PVCs as a sign of commitment to the party.

He further charged them to do more by mobilizing their family and friends, customers and interns. He revealed the party’s readiness to assist in the collection of PVCs.

The party’s candidates present at the event, Comrade Olusegun Adebisi Ege and Hon. Surajudeen Olatunji Tijani (Emir) who was represented by Hon. Hassan Kasali added their voice by urging members of LASCOTA to vote all the candidates of the party in the Saturday, 25 February, and Saturday, 11 March, 2023 elections.

The Chairman of LASCOTA in Otto-Awori chapter, Alhaji Adewale Jimoh responded by appreciating the party for the invitation extended to them.

He stated that the body has gained a lot from the party both at the Senatorial District and Local Government levels.

Then, he compelled his members to go back home and mobilize for collection of PVCs.

Finally, he assured the leadership of the party that LASCOTA members will vote en masse for all APC Candidates.
