In an effort to draft the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu into the 2023 presidential race, a support group has started rallying support for him in Kano State and other parts of Nigeria.
The group called ‘Tinubu Support Group’(TSG) has expressed its desire to persuade the former Governor of Lagos State to heed the calls of Nigerians to serve the nation and also to rally support for him as a birthday gift.
Already, leaders of the group in Kano have appealed to all stakeholders to work and make sure that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is elected to Aso Rock Presidential Villa in 2023.
While demonstrating their love and support for Asiwaju, the group undertook a procession to rally support for him around Kano metropolis as the colloquium to commemorate Asiwaju’s 69th birthday holds in the City.
Hamza Ibrahim Baba who led the procession on Monday, 29 March, 2021 said they were rallying support for Asiwaju to be elected as President of Nigeria to truly unite the country.
He said: “Nigerians need a President that is devoid of sentiments in the area of religion, tribe and gender. A President that has the capacity discover creative, talented Nigerians.
“We are calling on members and the leadership of the APC to look towards the direction of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
“Some of Tinubu’s great achievements include the ability to mentor people across-the-board, his tolerance, peaceful nature, experience, fairness, public and economic development skills and his love for his nation.
“We call on political prayers in the regions, both from the Northern and Southern parts of the country, to support this vision”.
