Nigerians have been encouraged not to despair but to look into the future with hope that light will certainly come at the end of the dark of tunnel.
The charge was given by the former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Prof Modupe Adelabu at a reception she hosted All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders in Ado Ekiti and other stakeholders in the state capital city.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Adelabu said the foundation for a better tomorrow was already being laid by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration and that the fruits of the APC-led would soon become visible.
Her words: “With a committed and forthright leader on the saddle, Nigeria is already on the path of economic recovery. But we all have contributions to make by praying for the success of the Buhari-administration.
“The on-going revelation has shown how the commonwealth of the country was plundered and the patrimony squandered by those entrusted in the past. The investigations are aimed at avoiding the pitfalls of the past. Once the loopholes are blocked, there would be resources to run a people-oriented programme that the APC promised.
“We should also pray against the antics of the fifth columnists who wanted the status quo and uncomfortable with the government unusual introduced by President Buhari.”
She encouraged the APC members to be steadfast and hopeful, assuring them that truth would always triumph over evil.
The former deputy governor said Nigerians made the right choice during the last general elections by giving their mandate to the APC, which she described as a party on a rescue mission.
According to her, the APC would keep its word by effecting the desired change that would restore the glory of the country.
“But for that collective decision during the last general election, where Nigeria as a country would have been by now is what we all wouldn’t have loved.”
