Comrade Jola Ogunlusi, outgoing Chairman, Festival Town Residents Association (FTRA) Community 2, presenting the prestigious Award, to the Executive Chairman, Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Comrade Ayodele Adewale (2nd R), as the “Best Executive Chairman Amuwo Odofin Local Government Ever Had”, held at 321 road, G close, Festac Town Lagos. With them are Chief Mike Ogbogu, Vice Chairman FTRA Community 2(R), and Comrade Kehinde Adeoye, General Secretary, FTRA Community 2(L).
The Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Comrade Ayodele Adewale, over the weekend, was honoured with the prestigious award of the “Best Executive Chairman Amuwo Odofin Local Government Ever Had” by the Festival Town Residents Association Community 2, at its last general meeting and the election of new executive council members that will pilot its affairs.
The Chairman of the Association, Comrade Jola Ogunlusi, noted that the award to the local government boss is in recognition of its developmental policy in transforming the local government to an enviable height.
In his words, “we have witnessed dividends of democracy in this community since the advent of the present administration in this local government particularly in the area of road rehabilitation, free health services, educational development, and infrastructure, amongst others”.
Comrade Adewale while receiving the award thanked the association for recognizing hard work. He promised to continue to make Amuwo a brand that will be envious of everybody.
According to him, “this award is from the people that I serve, not from the people from the Diaspora. These are the main people, this will encourage me to do more, and also help those coming after us to know the task ahead of them”.
The local government boss also renewed his call for the convening of a Sovereign National Conference (SNC), which according to him, is the solution to the mirage of problems confronting the country.
