Honourable Saheed Salawe has stepped down from contesting in the forthcoming Lagos APC local government primary elections.
He withdrew from the chairmanship race in the Lagos East Local Council Development Area.
In a meeting with leaders of the 10 wards that make up the council area, Honourable Saheed Salawe stated that he stepped down for the party’s preferred candidate, Honourable Muibi Alade Folawiyo.
Honourable Salawe who donated the sum of N1 million each to the 10 wards, urged all his supporters and true party members to go all out on Saturday, 29 May, 2021 and vote to deliver the preferred candidate of the party at the primary elections.
“I want to first of all thank you for your support and belief in our cause, but since the party elders have resolved that we should all really round Honourable Folawiyo, we have no choice than to fall in line and support him”, Salawe revealed.
